About Heavens – paintings and poem by Nicu Liuta

I’ve shouted so many times to the sky scattered with flying
tell me, father universe
where, where have you hidden
my flying wing
where father, where have you hidden
the small gear I used to fly my dreams
to the sky and higher.
but nobody answered.
I was so sad
so I took the wrinkled papers I used for folding aiplanes and went away.
I laid my head on the pillow
and I cried.
I will never forget my first kite
It was flying so high – but then a wicked angel came and smashed it
I cried.
what can I tell you more?!! I think I never loved as much as I do now
the blue I used for drawing angel’s wings.
I never loved so much as I do now
that piece of dream
I used to taste for my birthday, everyday.
I shouted: good morning, father universe, good morning, mother nature
I love you so much but please excuse me,
now I have to go, lay my head on the pillow, sleep for about two thousand years
until the children will learn again
how to angle whales on a paper lake.
I quietly walked out the gray cartons scene, hushed good bye
and left.
the sister night was waiting for me
somewhere, thousands of light-years away
we will fall asleep together and daydream
good night, earth!
